ootd: pumpkin patch

Billowy sunflower shorts? Check.
Matching sunflower shirt? Check.
Black socks? Check.
Velcro Power Ranger light up tennis shoes? Check.

A sassy 6 year old with her hand on her hip and the "oh heyyyy girl!" wrist flop in the middle of a California pumpkin patch? Priceless.

  1. I was never allowed to have light up shoes. Never. No matter how much I begged. I think I need to go to therapy to resolve this.

  3. Ahahaha! I love this! And of course my favorite part is the light up power ranger velcro. I remember those days.. I used to kick thing just to make them light up. It's weird but imagining light up shoes takes me RIGHT BACK to Kindergarten like it was yesterday.

  4. The wrist flop is killing me! So awesome.

I never had light up shoes. I did have L.A. Gear with double pink and white laces. I would wear two pairs of socks and alternate them bc it was cool.

  5. Can't get over how cute you were. Every time I got new shoes as a kid, I used to sleep in bed with them. So twisted, but also sort of adorable :)

  7. Ahhhahahah so cute...I'm pretty sure I had an outfit identical to this when I was a kid. I really need to scan some old photos next time I'm down south at my mom's...haha.

  9. Velcro. They also look a little like some special orthopedics. I apologize if you really did have a foot condition.

By the time light-up shoes came around I was far too old. I was probably wearing high-heels by then. In 7th grade because no one told me that wasn't okay. I must find pictures.

    Also, FRIDAY!!!

  11. You and I MUST recreate your wardrobe in grown-up sizes. So chic. So classy. So utterly 90's.

All the big fashion magazines would be calling us for photo shoots. Step aside, Daybook! Kristen and Michelle are bringing it, 7 year old style.
