what I want to be when I grow up

Dear Mom and Dad,

I appreciate all you've done for me. I am so thankful you sent me to college and allowed me to get a degree. I love my English degree. I don't hate my job. But with that said, I have finally decided what I want to be when I grow up: a cat.

Look, I know money and a house and a job and groceries and stuff are important, but I'm sorry. This is the life for me.

The end.

  1. LOVE this post and know exactly what you mean, I always think I can learn a lot from my dog Bodhi; lots of snoozes and constantly full of the joys of life (plus no mortgage to pay...) xo

  2. Every single day I wish I was a cat. Laying in sunbeams and getting food brought to you and taking naps all day sounds glorious.

  3. THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN BEING A CAT.

Maybe a giraffe, but that is hotly debated...

  4. My cat lady friend and I always say this, being a cat would be AWESOME. Lay around all day, not giving a shit about anything? Sign me up.

  5. I. Hear. You.

Everyday I leave the house and tell the cats how lucky they are!

  8. Agree, but not *my* cat perhaps. She cannot handle things well, I don't know if you know this...

  9. I want to be a dog. At least dogs are allowed outside on the reg. But I absolutely, 100% see your point and agree.

  10. Oh gosh, my cat has the best life. And I just made it better by moving her scratching post/seat over by the window. I don't think the fatty has gotten out of it since it was relocated.
