things I spend too much time doing

1. Opening the fridge and hoping there will magically be something delicious in it the next time I open it.

2. Watching my cat sleep.

3. Clicking back and forth between websites I don't even care about.

4. Thinking about pizza.

5. Thinking about caffeine.

6. Checking my phone because I know I just felt it vibrate.

7. Checking the weather at work.

8. Daydreaming.

9. Decorating my new apartment in my head with the things I haven't bought from Ikea.

10. Imagining myself correcting someone's grammar and/or punching them in the face.

11. Overanalyzing the weird looks I think people give me.

12. Trying to translate things into French.

13. Pretending to be annoyed with every American's obsession with the royal baby while also being secretly enthralled as well.

  1. Oh man. I open the fridge like that all the time. So disappointing. I miss my mom. She used to fill my fridge with all sorts of yummy things...

  2. I agree with so many of these. Pizza... Caffeine... whether my phone is flashing its obnoxious little green light that I have a message or not... cats... btw, how is it that cats can sleep so much, and always look adorable doing it???

  3. I spent a good portion of yesterday morning thinking about pizza. And then again while I was getting my hair cut. You made me feel better about all of this. Power in numbers!

How do you say, "113 days until we meet" in French?

  5. THINKING ABOUT PIZZA IS LIFE. I saw a picture of an arugula, ricotta, and pancetta pizza online like ten days ago and have been thinking about it every day since.

I also regularly think about punching people in the face. Most of the time, though, it has nothing to do with their grammar.

  6. Oh pizza, glorious pizza, I haven't had you in 8 years and it makes me sad quite frankly. Stupid allergies to cheese! Pizza without cheese is just bread and sauce. Now I really want a pizza, thanks for giving the pregnant lady a new craving she can't get. :)

  12. LOVE how you did this will all the things you spend too much time doing, instead of just one! I do #10 a lot, too...my mother is big on English and correct grammar usage, so, grew up with it, and have to try not correcting others! :)

  13. Ah... Such a great list! I constantly go over could have been confrontations in my head. The things I should have said or wish I said. I try and tell myself it's therapeutic.

Also... An IV drip of caffeine would be the dog's tuxedo.

  14. Don't be annoyed by the royal baby! Just give in to the madness. Just give in.

  15. I care as much about the royal baby as I do about The Bachelor/ette.

Meaning, I just wish it would all go away.

1776, people...1776. We kicked them out so we didn't have to care about things like royal babies.

  16. I spend too much time doing number 2 as well.
Try being in England right now, it's gone crazy with the birth of the baby. I know it's history and all but I'm really not that bothered about it, by the time he takes the throne I'll be very, very old or dead!
