about

What is up, my dudes? I'm Michelle. I'm a West Coaster-turned-Midwesterner in my late-ish 20s. Can I hug you? Is that weird?

My blog is about all the exciting things I do with my life, and by that I mean sometimes I stay up late knitting. My idea of an exciting adventure is going to the library. I use social media, but I'm super curmudgeonly about it and wished we all sent each other handwritten letters instead of emoji-filled tweets. I love all things old-fashioned and I'm trying to turn my life into a scene from Little Women. I write stories about my life as a stay-at-home-mom (it's more exciting than you think!) and embarrassing situations I'm always finding myself in. Every few weeks I write about the books I've been reading. Reading is my number one passion in life, next to caffeine, carbs, and a meal I didn't have to cook.

For the past five years I have been legally bound to a tall, quiet dude named James. He's a drummer and guitar player and has a delicious southern twang. In March of 2015 we had a little baby girl covered in rolls and topped with crazy brown hair that makes me jealous on a daily basis.

The last thing I will ever do on this blog is show you pictures of my clothes, write something sponsored, or tell you how to do something. I would much rather tell you about the time I got stuck in a Baby Bjorn. I love to tell stories, and that's why I write. If you stick around, I'll write you a string of haikus and play you The Office theme song on the piano.

Let's hug?

Yes? No? Maybe?

I'll take that as a yes.

  5. Love this! And the OSU shirts ;-) I live in Monroe (about twenty minutes from the Ohio border by Lake Erie), but I'm still an all-out OSU fan. :-)

  18. I think there needs to be a separate blogging domain for people who use hubby/hubs/hubster and those who don't so I could stop gagging every twelve seconds when another blogger I thought I respected turns out to be one of those hubby people. #rant.

  19. I agree 100% about hubby and hubs. NEVER!

  21. Hi! So, one of my blog friends told me about your blog and said you're really funny and that we should be friends. I'm just commenting to inform you that 1) she was right you are hilarious! and 2) I will be following you now so that's happening. Happy Wednesday!

  22. Ummm, so now since I have deemed us the same person, I found myself creeping on your page and wondering if you have had your baby because now I feel like we are awkward best friends, though I am sure that is one sided, and you probably think I am a creepo. That is not totally off-base, I guess, based on this comment. Any way, I nearly died when I found further proof of our similarities in that I also refuse to call my husband "hubs" or "hubby". I hate it. Just had to point that out because I think we might be the only two people ever. But then again, it would be no surprise if you knew me because I am actually irritated by a lot of things...and have rambling thoughts and run-on sentences. I will stop now.
